Junior Golfers from across Dyfed enjoyed a day in glorious sunshine at Haverfordwest Golf Club’s Werndale Hospital sponsored Junior Open on Friday 2 June.

 

The event had added prestige this year as one of Dyfed Golfing Union Junior Order of Merit events. The course was beautifully manicured by Head Green Keeper David Kelly, his pride evident in the excellent course conditions, “all the hard work getting the course to this condition” he said, “is worth it when you see the fun these young golfers have enjoyed today”.

Fun, the key ingredient for golfers of all ages, is the most important thing that junior golfers learn at their clubs. The day’s competition was played in the best sporting spirit and although not everyone could be in the prizes, all who played were winners.
