Captains Report22nd May 2018
As the longest Winter of Discontent since 1978/79, a retrospective for March and April is reported.
The day of our Patron Saint(Saint David)felt more like a cue for some of us to visit the local asylum.
The drainage issues established in the latter part of 2017 on the 17th fairway were slowly being resolved due to inability to get necessary machinery on to the Course. The Members are to be thanked for their patience with this matter ,but on a more positive note a buggy path has been established on the 4th fairway perimeter, as well as an access from the Equipment Housing. No less important is the levelling of the Road to that establishment from the Car Park. Thanks to our contractors and those supervising within.
Social events continue to be well organised and supported.Tom Jones tribute on 17th March, Easter Bingo on 27th March (David Griggs has finally found his vocation), Race Night on 14th April. The work of the Entertainments Committee is invaluable and very much appreciated.
